How I Work
I am deeply committed to fostering a therapeutic relationship grounded in safety, trust, and possibility-where you can feel truly seen and supported while also being invited to explore growth in meaningful ways. I view counseling as a place to ease suffering, navigate life’s challenges-both ordinary and profound-and a way to cultivate a deeper sense of who we are.
My approach is influenced by the myriad of cultures and countries I have lived in. My own healing journey has included working with unprocessed grief, integrating mixed loyalties and identities, and re-membering my own embodied wisdom. I work from a Depth Psychology foundation, meaning we won’t just focus on symptoms or short-term fixes, we will explore the origin and interstitial spaces of self. I approach this work influenced by trauma theory, attachment theory, mindfulness, and somatic practices. All the therapy I do is evidence-based and is designed to be empowering, with a focus on de-pathologizing the person.
I have additional Master-level training in:
Gender and sexuality
Embodiment and somatics
Substance abuse
Shame
Trauma-informed narrative
Other trainings:
Reiki Practitioner Level I and II
Shambhala Meditation Training Level I-V
UW Educator’s Diversity & Inclusion Intensive
